Step and repeat backdrops in Las Vegas

Expert Staging Productions designs and fabricates custom step and repeat backdrops for events across Las Vegas, from flat printed panels to dimensional, structural photo-op builds. Every backdrop is designed, printed, and assembled in-house, then installed and struck by our own W-2 crew. Out-of-town planners send artwork remotely and we handle the rest at the venue.

What is a step and repeat backdrop

A step and repeat backdrop is a branded backdrop printed with a repeating pattern of event and sponsor logos, set up as the photo backdrop where guests, media, and talent pose for pictures. The name comes from the routine itself: guests step in front of it, pose, and repeat, producing a steady stream of on-brand images for press, social media, and event recap content.

Planners also call it a press wall, a media wall, or simply a photo backdrop. All three describe the same idea: a branded surface built specifically for photos, usually placed near an entrance, a red carpet, or a trade show booth. The format shows up at movie premieres and award shows, but just as often at corporate galas, product launches, VIP after-parties, and sponsor activations, anywhere a brand wants every photo taken at the event to carry its name.

Beyond flat printed panels, dimensional and structural photo ops

Most step and repeat vendors sell one thing: a flat vinyl panel on a pipe frame. Expert Staging Productions builds those too, but our shop can take a backdrop further. Our in-house CNC and laser fabrication turns a flat logo wall into a dimensional photo op: raised 3D letters and logos, structural arches, and branded scenic elements that stand off the surface instead of sitting flat on it.

We design the piece in 3D before we cut anything, so you see the finished photo op before it's built. If your event calls for a backdrop that reads as a real build rather than a printed sheet, that's the kind of work our shop is set up to do, in-house, without handing the fabrication to a separate print shop.

Backdrop rentals, built the ESP way

Not every event needs a structural build. Plenty call for a straightforward flat step and repeat: a printed panel, a frame, and a crew that shows up, installs it clean, and strikes it at the end of the night. We rent both: flat printed panels for a fast, no-frills photo wall, or a full kit with frame, backdrop, install, and strike handled start to finish.

Some planners still ask for a "press wall" or "red carpet backdrop" rental. It's the same product under a different name. Either way, you get a printed, finished panel installed by our crew, not a DIY frame kit shipped to your venue for your own team to figure out.

One crew, one quote, bundle your backdrop into the full event build

A backdrop rarely stands alone in a room. It usually shares the space with staging, drape, lighting, and a DJ booth, and coordinating a separate vendor for each piece is where events go sideways. Expert Staging Productions runs all of it under one crew and one quote: your step and repeat sits alongside our pipe and drape and staging, your branded scenic elements come out of the same shop that builds our custom DJ booths and stage facades, and the crew that installs your backdrop can carry straight into your after-party build once the main program wraps.

One point of contact, one install schedule, one strike. A single-service print shop can hand you a backdrop. We can hand you the whole room, and if plans shift mid-event, the same crew that hung your backdrop is already on-site to adjust it.

What a backdrop quote includes

We don't publish pricing because every backdrop is scoped to the event: size, print complexity, whether it's flat or dimensional, and how it fits into everything else we're building for you that day. What we can tell you is what's in a quote and how fast you'll have it.

A backdrop quote covers design and layout, print or fabrication, delivery to your venue, install, and strike, and the crew doing the work is fully insured. To move fast, have your event date, venue, backdrop size, and artwork (or a sense of what you want on it) ready when you reach out. We respond the same business day.

Questions planners ask

How much does a step and repeat backdrop rental cost in Las Vegas?
Cost depends on size, whether the backdrop is flat or dimensional, and how much fabrication goes into it, so we don't post a flat rate. Your quote covers design, print or fabrication, delivery, install, and strike, and every job is fully insured. Send us your event date, venue, and rough size and we'll get you a number the same business day.
What are the standard sizes for a step and repeat backdrop?
Most events use 8×10, 8×12, 8×16, or 8×20 feet, depending on how many people need to fit in frame and how much branding you want visible. Larger step and repeat backdrops work well for group photos and press lines, while smaller ones suit a single photo booth or step-in moment. We'll help you pick a size once we know the space and the shot you're after.
What's the difference between vinyl and fabric step and repeat backdrops?
Vinyl prints sharper for close-up logos and holds up well outdoors or in high-traffic spots, but it can show glare under harsh lighting. Fabric prints softer, resists wrinkling in transport, and reads better on camera under stage lighting. We fabricate both in-house and can recommend one based on your venue and how the backdrop will be lit.
Can you build a dimensional or 3D backdrop instead of a flat printed panel?
Yes. Our in-house CNC and laser fabrication can turn a logo or brand mark into a raised, three-dimensional photo op instead of a flat print, including structural arches and scenic elements built to match a stage or set. We design it in 3D before we cut anything, so you see the finished piece ahead of build day.
How far in advance do I need to book a custom photo-op backdrop?
Plan on about a week of standard lead time for a custom step and repeat backdrop, from approved artwork to a finished, installed build. Rush timelines are available since we fabricate everything in-house rather than waiting on an outside print shop, but the earlier you lock your date and artwork, the more options you have.
